Thermo-E glass

E glass is the high-quality manufacturing basis for the Thermo glass HKO. E-glass products have a high thermal loading capacity and exceptional electrical insulating properties. Skin irritation can occur with glass fibres above a filament diameter of 9 µm. For this reason, HKO processes mainly E glass fibres with a filament diameter from 6 to 9 µm.

Thermo glass products are manufactured in both continuous filament yarns and in textured and twisted yarns. Texturing considerably improves the insulating properties of the end products.

Thermo-C glass

C glass belongs to the group of alkaline lime glass but has an increased share of boron oxide. Good chemical resistance is a characteristic of this product. The basic thread diameter is 9-11.5 µm Properties:

• Rot-proof
• Non-expandable
• Resistant to heat and cold
• High chemical resistance
• Non-carcinogenic
