Policy Statement on Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence

HKO Isolier-und Textiltechnik GmbH is committed to respecting internationally recognize dhuman rights and protecting the environment throughout its entiresupplychain.
We fulfill our obligations pursuant to Section 3 (1) No. 4 in conjunction with Section 6 (2) of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) by implementing an appropriate and effective riskmanagement system aimed at identifying, preventing, minimizing, and ending human rights and environmental risks and violations.
1. Expectations towards Employees and Suppliers
We expect all employees and our direct and indirect suppliers to comply with applicable laws and internationally recognized standards, in particular:
• Prohibition of childlabor in line with ILO core conventions
• Prohibition of forced labor
• Respect for freedom of association and collective bargaining
• Prohibition of discrimination
• Ensuring safe and healthy working conditions
• Payment of adequate wages
• Compliance with environmental obligations
These requirements form an integral part of our business relationships.
2. Risk Management and Risk Analysis
We conduct regular and ad hoc risk analyses to identify and assess human rights and environmental risks within our own operations and among our direct suppliers. Based on these analyses, we define and implement appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
3. Preventive and Remedial Measures
Where risks are identified, we implement appropriate preventive measures, including:
• Integration of sustainability criteria into procurement processes
• Supplier evaluations and audits
• Employee training on human rights due diligence
In case of identified violations, we take immediate corrective actions to prevent, end, or minimize the impact.
4. Complaints Procedure
We maintain a grievance mechanism that enables internal and external stakeholders to report human rights or environmental risks or violations. All reports are treated confidentially and assessed systematically.
5. Responsibilityand Governance
Overall responsibility for the implementation of due diligence obligations lies with management. Designated functions monitor compliance and report regularly on effectiveness.
6. Documentation and Reporting
We continuously document the implementation of our due diligence obligations and report in accordance with legal requirements.
